ACF and the Corona Virus

ACF and the Corona Virus

In light of the Corona Virus Pandemic we need to play a diligent and responsible part in minimising the spread of the virus.

At present there is no advice for meetings to be cancelled, but we have cancelled Senior’s@ACF until further notice. The remaining church activities will be regularly reviewed and Government advice followed as the days and weeks progress. The church was cleaned this morning (Friday) and that twice weekly process will continue, ensuring that regularly touched surfaces are cleaned and disinfected. We are currently trying to source hand sanitisers, but it may be easier to find Bigfoot!

Please don’t be offended if you turn up on Sunday and no one shakes your hand, and please don’t try to shake someone else’s. Men may still bump chests, but that’s it!

Please follow NHS advice to carry tissues and use them to catch coughs and sneezes, then bin the tissue.
Wash hands regularly with soap and water (for 20 seconds). Anyone experiencing the recent onset of
continuous cough and/or high temperature should self-isolate for 7 days.

Communion is scheduled for this Sunday. However it will be a little different in that one person will take the bread and wine on behalf of us all. In addition there will be no teas and coffees served after the service.

Please continue to pray for those affected by this virus and for all health care workers who face really challenging times. Also be aware of those in the communities where we worship and live who may struggle with isolation. Don’t forget them, keep in touch, do shopping, serve, caring for people in need and bringing the peace of Christ.
