Men’s Fellowship
The plans for the first three evenings are as follows;
May 1st. WALK,TALK &REFRESH. The route is presently being planned by Kev and Len. The idea would be at the end of the walk we will be close enough to a coffee shop or pub for refreshments before heading home.
June 5th. Q&T’s Play on the the phrase G&T, only our evening will be a Quiz and Testimony evening. It will be a teams evening, consisting of 6 rounds of questions with ten questions in each. Interspersed there will be a couple of testimonies either by way of an interview or an individual just talking. There will be soft drinks and tea / coffee available during the evening.
July 3rd. YOUR CHOICE OF GREENS. This will be a bowling or putting evening at Albury Sports Centre. The choice would be putting green or bowling green and at ‘full time’ we will adjourn to Ferryhill House Hotel where the winners can commiserate with the rest of us !!!
September 4th. GUEST SPEAKER. This is still in the planing and will depend on sourcing a suitable speaker.
These activities, added to our Saturday morning walk (10am at the entrance to Hazlehead Park opposite Groats Road), means there will be many organised events for relationships to grow, in addition to using these times as outreach opportunities. Regarding the Saturday walk over the winter, the weather may dictate this is not possible. On these days we would propose a Butteries and Blether at the church, perhaps with a slightly earlier start and limiting the time to 1 /1/2 hours. There would be a prayer time included.
As mentioned above, each of these activities is open to those outside ACF, so please consider them as opportunities for evangelism, pray about them, and invite other men to come along.
