Children@ACF. Our Sunday morning activities for children are: Age 3 – P1 in the DJ Team room (by the creche): P2-4 in the coffee hall; P5 & P6 are in the cube room; *Parents, please pick your children up after the service* ; Ignite: P7 – S2 Bible Study meets in the youth room at the front of the main hall. All groups run from 11am to 12 noon.

Home Groups: Held on the second and fourth weeks monthly. Groups next meet during the week commencing 8 February on a Sunday afternoon, Sunday, Monday and Wednesday evenings and Thursday, early evening. For more information please contact Pete Henderson.

Youth activities

The Step, Youth Cafe (S1-S6) is on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday lunchtime from 12.30-1.20pm.

Fuel (P7-S3) Youth Cafe meets Fortnightly on a Friday Night from 7-9pm. Diesel (S3-S6) Weekly Youth Bible Study is on a Monday Night 7-9pm.

On the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month after the evening service all the youth meet around at the Webbs from 7.45-9pm for a social. It is open to anyone in P7-S6.

Women’s Bible StudyMondays at 9.30am. This term the book by Joyce Meyer, ‘Battlefield of the mind’ will be studied. Ladies, please feel free to join this group. Creche provided.

PAPRIKA; Mother and Toddler’s for Hungarian families: This group meets every Tuesday from 10am to 11.30am. For further information, or to volunteer to help, please contact Tabita at tabitadoczi@yahoo.com

Prayer Meeting and Bible Study: Tuesday 7.30pm. Vijay Pillai will lead our study of the book of Hebrews. Global Impact will lead the prayer time.

Mainly Music: Mainly Music is a fun music time for parents/caregivers and their preschool children, followed by coffee and free play session. It meets every Thursday from 10.00am -11.15am during school term time. If you are interested in coming along, please contact or speak to Donna Cuthill.

Seniors Friday: Held every Friday from 10.30am to 12 noon. Food, quizzes, teas,coffees and a blether. Speak to Bert or Beth Wilson for further information.

Messy Church: Is held on the first Sunday of every month from 4pm to 6pm. Next Messy Church is Sunday 1st March 2015. Messy Church is open to all children aged 3 to 11 years, Messy Church will include a wide range of appropriate activities for the children, who will also have some food together. Sunday evening services are held on the first and third Sundays each month, commencing at 6.30pm. The next service will be on 15 February when David Young will be speaking and Malcolm Webb will lead worship.

March Celebration: To celebrate God’s goodness to us at ACF, and to promote the different ministries, there will be a range of activities over the various weekends in March, except for Sunday 1st. This will present a great opportunity to invite friends, family, neighbours, to the different activities as we try to reach others for Christ. A diary of events will be available shortly, so please use this as a guide to pray and to invite others.

Future events outwith ACF: 

Single Life Workshop.  Held by Nothing Hidden Ministries.  It is a 3.5 day intensive course for single people. It is a way that the church can address issues that singles face.The workshop is 1-4 May, 2015 at Wellsprings Church, Newcraighall, Edinburgh.Cost –  £130 (£125 early bird deal is book by 16 Jan (pay by 30 Jan). Volunteers required: The Lighthouse Support Centre in Tillydrone is looking for a volunteer to help in Mainly Music on Fridays from 9.30am to 12 Noon, and another for the creche held to support a ladies group on a Tuesday from 9.30am to 11.30am. Please speak to Brian Boyd if you can help in any way.

Short term Mission Opportunities: There are two short-term missions opportunities to work among Arab peoples in Europe.  Some details are below and anyone interested is free to contact Clint McGowen who will put you in direct contact with the person organising these. Please contact Clint or the ACF office if you have any questions.

The past several years there have been European EV projects focused on people from the Arabian Gulf. Projects are called “Salamu Aleikum”.   The two key projects this year will take place in Zell am See, Austria nestled in the Austrian Alps, 16-24 July and Interlaken, Switzerland, 14-28 August. With Interlaken people may choose either the first, second, or both weeks AND a budget or standard option. Training for the projects is available. Projects are family friendly, but babies may be a problem. People need to have some fluency in English as this will be the project language. There are limited openings in each of the projects. ACF FOOD BANK: To support The Lighthouse and others in need, food items such as cereal, sugar,tea, coffee, biscuits, and tins/jars/packets of soup, meat, meals, vegetables, together with household cleaning items and toiletries, can be donated. Plastic collecting bins will be in the foyer for this purpose.

 A21 Campaign: To raise awareness of human trafficking and to raise funds for the campaign a trek has been organised to climb the highest peak in North Africa, which s in Morocco. It will be from 6th to 13th June. For more information see the link below
