Children@ACF. Our Sunday morning activities for children are: Age 3 – P1 in the DJ Team room (by the creche): P2-4 in the coffee hall; P5 & P6 are in the cube room; *Parents, please pick your children up after the service* ; Ignite: P7 – S2 Bible Study meets in the youth room at the front of the main hall. All groups run from 11am to 12 noon.
Sunday evening services are held on the first and third Sundays each month, commencing at 6.30pm. The next service will be on 2 November when Gillian MacKenzie will be speaking and Malcolm Webb leading.
Messy Church: Is held on the first Sunday of every month from 4pm to 6pm. Next Messy Church is Sunday 2 November. Messy Church is open to all children aged 3 to 11 years, Messy Church will include a wide range of appropriate activities for the children, who will also have some food together. See David Young for more information. This month Messy Church will take the form of a Step Out reunion.
The Step, Youth Cafe (S1-S6) is on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday lunchtime from 12.30-1.20pm.
Fuel (P7-S3) Youth Cafe meets Fortnightly on a Friday Night from 7-9pm. Diesel (S3-S6) Weekly Youth Bible Study is on a Monday Night 7-9pm.
On the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month after the evening service all the youth meet around at the Webbs from 7.45-9pm for a social. It is open to anyone in P7-S6.

Women’s Bible Study: Mondays at 9.30am. The study will be based on the book ‘The Shelter of God’s Promises’ by Sheila Walsh.
Prayer Meeting and Bible Study: Tuesday 7.30pm. Our Pastor, Vijay Pillai, will lead the study in the book of Hebrews.This week the prayer time will be led by Aileen Johnstone
Mainly Music: Mainly Music is a fun music time for parents/caregivers and their preschool children, followed by coffee and free play session. It meets every Thursday from 10.00am -11.15am during school term time. If you are interested in coming along, please contact or speak to Donna Cuthill.
Men’s Group: Held every two weeks. We next meet on Thursday 6 November at 7.30pm. Speak to James Packham for further information
Seniors Friday: Held every Friday from 10.30am to 12 noon. Food, quizzes, teas,coffees and a blether. Speak to Bert or Beth Wilson for further information.
Release International: The ladies bible study group is to host a Day Conference for Women, on Saturday 8 November from 10am to 3pm. Entitled ‘ United in Christ’ the conference will be about the persecuted church.Come and hear testimonies and meet some of our persecuted sisters and join us for a day of prayer as we remember our persecuted family.
Conference is free, but there will be an opportunity to donate and help out our persecuted brothers and sisters. A variety of resources and books will be available to purchase.Please bring a pack lunch with you.

It aims to change the culture in local churches throughout the UK, to make adopting and fostering a significant part of their life and ministry. As part of the evening, HoKrish Kandiah, Founder and Director ofHome for Good, www.krishk.com will also share some of the challenges faced by children in the care system and show how the local church can be a part of the solution.

Edinburgh Medical Missionary Society: The healthcare charity EMMS International is running a church roadshow from 28 November to 12 December at 5 Scottish venues in supportive of our Sunday’s child appeal to provide pain relief to cancer sufferers in Malawi.
Date: December 6th – 7:30-9:30 pm: Location: Aberdeen Christian Fellowship: Time: Doors open 7pm. Join EMMS and Eloho Efemuai for a special evening of live gospel music and inspirational stories as we get into the festive spirit. We will be joined by Dr. Cornelius Huwa who will talk about our work on providing compassionate healthcare and pain relief to cancer sufferers in Malawi. Free will offering will be uplifted and all donations raised on the night will be matched by the UK Government’s Match funding scheme.

Christians in Sport: CIS is holding a ‘Clubhouse’ event in Aberdeen providing a great opportunity for Christian sportspeople across the city to be encouraged, envisioned and equipped to reach their world of sport for Christ. It also allows church leaders and workers the opportunity to consider how their church might engage with sport in their community.

Christmas Shoe Box Appeal 2014: Things we take for granted can often be luxuries for people living in desperate poverty. This annual Blythswood appeal allows us to fill a shoe box with simple gifts to send to Hungary, Albania, Romania and other countries to bring some joy and laughter to someone this Christmas. Rona Boyd will have a stall in the coffee hall on Sunday mornings for the remainder of October, where you will be able to pick up a flyer giving advice on what’s required.Shoe Boxes must be at ACF, ready to go by Sunday 2nd November.
Friends International: Friends Int are needing hosts for another 30 international students who have signed up to their hospitality scheme. ACF FOOD BANK: To support The Lighthouse and others in need, food items such as cereal, sugar,tea, coffee, biscuits, and tins/jars/packets of soup, meat, meals, vegetables, together with household cleaning items and toiletries, can be donated. Plastic collecting bins will be in the foyer for this purpose.DUE TO CHURCHES GENEROUSLY DONATING THEIR HARVEST THANKSGIVING APPEALS, THE CURRENT SHOE BOX APPEAL, AND THE UPCOMING CHRISTMAS HAMPER APPEAL, THE FOOD BANK WILL RESUME IN JANUARY 2015.
