Sunday worship at 10.30am (Communion): Pastor Vijay Pillai will bring us God’s Word. Elaine Henderson will lead worship. Creche is available during this service.

Children@ACF. Our Sunday morning activities for children are: Age 3 – P1 in the DJ Team room (by the creche): P2-P3 in the coffee hall; P4, P5 & P6 are in the cube room; *Parents, please pick your children up after the service* ; Ignite: P7 – S2 Bible Study meets in the youth room at the front of the main hall. All groups run from 11am to 12 noon.

Home Groups: Held on the second and fourth weeks monthly. Groups usually meet on a Sunday afternoon, Sunday, Monday and Wednesday evenings and Thursday, early evening. For more information please contact Pete Henderson.

Youth activities:

The Step, Youth Cafe (S1-S6) is on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday lunchtime from 12.30-1.20pm.

Fuel (P7-S3) Youth Cafe meets Fortnightly on a Friday Night from 7-9pm.

Diesel (S3-S6) Weekly Youth Bible Study is on a Monday Night 7-9pm.

On the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month after the evening service all the youth meet around at the Webbs from 7.45-9pm for a social. It is open to anyone in P7-S6.

Women’s Bible StudyMondays at 9.30am. This term, the book by Jack Kuhatschek entitled ‘Pleasing God’ will be studied. Ladies, please feel free to join this group. Creche provided.

Prayer Meeting and Bible Study: Tuesdays 7.30pm to 9pm. Pastor Vijay Pillai will be leading a study of the book of Exodus. There will also be a time of prayer.

Mainly Music: Mainly Music is a fun music time for parents/caregivers and their preschool children, followed by coffee and free play session. It meets every Thursday from 10.00am -11.15am during school term time. If you are interested in coming along, please contact or speak to Donna Cuthill.

Seniors Friday: Held every Friday from 10.30am to 12 noon. Food,quizzes,teas,coffees and laughter. Speak to Bert or Beth Wilson for further information.

PAPRIKA; Mother and Toddler’s for Hungarian families: This group meets every Friday from 10am to 11.30am. For further information, or to volunteer to help, please contact Tabita at tabitadoczi@yahoo.com

Fund Raising for Youth Mission Trip to Hungary: To help toward the costs of the trip the following event has been arranged. On Saturday 19 September, from 7pm to 9pm there will be a ceilidh in the church. Tickets, costing £5 each, will be available at the door. Please consider inviting friends and family to the ceilidh

 Future Events at ACF:

Sunday evening services are held on the first and third Sundays each month, commencing at 6.30pm. The next service will be on 20 September when Gillian MacKenzie will be speaking with James Packham leading worship.

Messy Church: Is held on the first Sunday of every month from 4pm to 6pm. Next Messy Church is Sunday 4 October 2015. Messy Church is open to all children aged 3 to 11 years, Messy Church will include a wide range of appropriate activities for the children, who will also have some food together. Future events outwith ACF: 

The Aberdeen Passion 2016 will once again take place at the AECC on Saturday 26th March. This year there will be two performances – matinee and evening – playing to an expected audience of 2100 people. We are now looking for people interested in being involved in the Aberdeen Passion either in an acting role, singing in the choir or in the band. Rehearsals will be held at Bridge of Don Baptist Church on a Thursday evening.

To make things easier on the night we are also trialling online pre-registration using the link below. If you are unable to register online come along anyway and we’ll collect your details on the night.

BAND AUDITIONS
At this stage we are interested in knowing what musicians and instruments we have available to us and so there will be no formal auditions for the band at this time. If you wish to play in the band simply email your details, including the instrument(s) you play (and to which level) to 2016@aberdeenpassion.com.

 ACTORS
On Thursday 24th September, we invite anyone interested in an acting role, to come along for a low key audition at Bridge of Don Baptist Church at 7pm. If you want to come along you can pre-register using the link above or register on the night.

 CHOIR
If you are interested in singing in the choir please come along to the same venue as above on Thursday 24th September at 7pm. We will let you know the commitment details for the choir and we will do some singing together that evening. The choir members should be secondary school age upwards. You will not be required to individually audition for the choir. If you want to come along you can pre-register using the link above or register on the night.

The Lighthouse Support Centre: The Lighthouse Support Centre in Tillydrone is in urgent need of volunteer crèche workers to help during various support groups after the summer holidays.  The three sessions requiring help run independently on Mondays from 13:00-14:30, Tuesdays 09:30-11:30, and Wednesdays 10:00-13:00.  For more information or to volunteer, please contact Jane Merson on 01224 486276 or email jane@lighthouse-abdn.org.uk.

ACF FOOD BANK: To support The Lighthouse and others in need, food items such as cereal, sugar,tea, coffee, biscuits, and tins/jars/packets of soup, meat, meals, vegetables, together with household cleaning items and toiletries, can be donated. Plastic collecting bins will be in the foyer for this purpose.

RECYCLING FOR TUMAINI: ACF is collecting clothes and drink cans for recycling, the proceeds going to support the work of Tumaini. There is a collecting bucket in the foyer. Every donation helps.
