Local Impact

At ACF we believe that evangelism is part of our response to what is generally called ‘The Great Commission’ given by our Lord Jesus (Matthew 28v18-20). It is a whole church activity, co-ordinated by our Local Impact team.
Often over-lapping with other ministries such as Children and Youth, throughout the year LI helps organise one off activities such as Family Fun Days, Ceilidh’s and the like.
Our Men’s Fellowship is intentionally geared towards outreach, but blended with relational discipling for the guys in the church.
We’re particularly active at Christmas when we organise Food Hampers for those in need across Aberdeen, ‘All is Calm’ for those who find Christmas a difficult time, ’Carols in the Car Park’ which is just what it says on the tin, and our Christmas Eve Carol service.
In addition, every Friday we have a get together over coffee and fine pieces for Seniors. We run Alpha or similar as and when.
Everything we do is to reach out to the community, building bridges and sharing the Good News of the Gospel.
As a church, we give 10% of our annual income to non ACF ministries, split evenly between Local Impact and Global Impact. Locally, such monthly support is directed to Hope Counselling, Aberdeen Street Pastors, Choices Aberdeen, The Lighthouse Support Centre and Scripture Union, Scotland, all of whom are in the front line of showing and sharing Jesus.
